Simulation Series Artist Statement

20 Years ago, Oxford Philosopher Nick Bostrum first proposed the argument that “we are almost certainly living in a computer simulation”. His simulation hypothesis is a materialistic view, which argues that our universe is most likely a simulation in a physical universe. The understanding that this is the base reality is changing through new discoveries and scientific proof. This is where science has started meet spirituality, which is most fascinating when it comes to understanding who we are and what it means to be human.

With recent advancements in technology such as the apple vision pro, we see the emergence of this type of technology in our day-to-day lives, which gives even more merit to the theories proposed by Bostrum.

In 2022 the Nobel prize in physics went to Aspect, Zeilinger and Clauser for proving that the Universe is not locally real. Which means that quantum particles have infinite potential and not a finite structures or definite properties before being measured. We change reality just by observing (observer effect).

Thus we are entering an era as REALITY CREATORS and we can rest in the knowing that we ultimately play a large role in the way we experience existence from within.

The animals are different representations of us, symbolic of our characteristics and habits through their traits. By placing ourselves in the place of the animals, we are invited to look from the inside out, to gain new perspectives on reality and the broadening perceptions of our galactic home.

The architectural backgrounds serve as our surroundings here, just to ground us back to this perceived reality which is ultimately where we need to fit in and grow, and face life’s constant challenges, as a part of this game.

This is my understanding and interpretation of what it means to be human, living here on Earth. What is yours?
