The zebra-onesie clothed skydiver(representative of the artist) is taking a risk by free-falling, but where she’ll land is not clear.

This is happening over a famous paragliding spot in Wilderness called “The Map of Africa’. While the others in the painting are safely paragliding, the skydiver is taking a risk and leaving her fate in the hands of belief, whilst aiming for the stars in the vast ocean.

The stylized clouds and the edge-of-the-world give this painting a feeling as if it is out of a dream, one where your body will give one jerk when you’re supposed to hit the ground, then you open your eyes and wonder what just happened, relieved you’re alive and awake.
